Stan Ogden a ruckman, won a Best & Fairest for Canterbury in 1929, and was then recruited by Hawthorn.
He played one year for the Mayblooms, which included one senior game then was delisted. He went back to Canterbury winning another 3 Best & Fairests, until being recruited by Richmond in 1934. 5 Senior games saw him delisted then back at Canterbury FC, for one more B & F.
He is pictured here in the old Canterbury jumper worn from 1915 until WW2, with yellow in the middle. Stan also served in WW2, in the jungles of Papua New Guinea.
He is our latest nomination for our Legends team.
