The Canterbury seniors continued their undefeated start to the season on Saturday when they defeated Westbourne Grammarians by 31 points at the Snake Pit. Ben Peel played a brilliant captains game and had support all day from Vice Captain Rohan Walmsley, while Scott Fitzgerald kicked 7 goals up forward, taking his season total to 28.
In the earlier game the reserves experienced their first defeat for the season, going down by 9 points after the game was called off early in the final quarter. A neck injury to captain Troy Finnin and resultant ambulance was the reason for the early finish, though thankfully he’s been cleared of major damage. Best players for the Cobras included Cam Woods, Tony Crawford and Andrew Mack.
This week we’re back at the Snake Pit again to take on Chadstone.
