The ANZAC day clash of the Cobras was a wet one, though is was Canterbury who prevailed over the visitors Manningham in both games.
In the seniors, it was a hard fought game though Canterbury had the edge over Manningham in all 4 quarters, eventually running out 38 point winners. A goal on debut from 15 year old Ryan Pearce as well as 4 each to James Wilson and Scott Fitzgerald ensured the hosting Cobras got over the line.
The reserves game was just as enthralling, even though the final margin was 43 points it seemed that Manningham were right in the game all day. Rob Goodwin continued his excellent start to the season and played well all over the ground, chipping in with 2 goals when moved up forward, while Ash Stals and Mason Careri were fantastic through the middle, giving Canterbury first use of the ball.
The boys are off to Mt Lilydale this week, aiming to make it 4-0 in both grades.
