As is happening with many other leagues, from 2024 onwards the VAFA has moved it’s registrations platform from Gameday to PlayHQ.
All players are required to register with PlayHQ in order to play in the VAFA every season.
STEPS TO REGISTER
New players to the club
If you’ve played football previously, the club will need to submit a transfer on your behalf. To action this, please get in contact with the club registrar or secretary. Please ensure that you are not in possession of any of your previous club’s property (eg. playing jumper) or have an outstanding debt (eg. previous years fees) as the clearance will be denied. Once the clearance has gone through (the club will notify you), move on to the steps below.
Returning/existing players
- If you’re a returning/existing CFC player, or have not played at a club previously, go to Canterbury FC’s registration page
- Click “Get Started”
- If you have an existing PlayHQ account (perhaps from cricket or another sport), use this to log in. Otherwise, create an account.
- If creating an account, ensure your entered details
- You’ll then need to verify your email
- Once verified, log in
Once logged in, you’ll have to complete the following steps:
- Choose User: Choose the user you’re registering
- Choose Role: Ensure you’ve selected the “Player” role
- Participant Details: Fill in all relevant details
- Claim Profile: If you’ve previously registered in Gameday, you should now see a button to claim your profile which will ensure your Gameday data appears in PlayHQ. If you are an existing player and no profile appears, you need to contact the PlayHQ Customer Service Team via 1800 PLAY AFL or email clubhelp@afl.com.au
- Fees: You’ll need to pay the mandatory VAFA $11 rego fee as well as club rego fees. Select the relevant fee for the current season and continue.
- Payment & Summary: There are multiple options for payment, including Paypal’s Pay In 4, which will enable you to split the total amount over 4 monthly payments.
Once payment is submitted you should now be registered, and be able to view your account and player profile.
